General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
I live 260 miles from my dealer, but it is worth the trip. MINI of Bedford (NH) is a great dealership. They go out of their way to make sure the car is in great shape and up-to-date, to minimize the number of trips. I wish someone would open a dealership in Maine...hint, hint...
A good 60 miles from the dealer, but I have an awesome mechanic right here in town to take care of anything I need. DSA Performance in Lincoln. I won't go elsewhere...Why would I? Great service, knows his Mini stuff, and way less$ than a dealer. Loving the '05 MCS with 75K miles. Runs like a champ. Just need winter tires.
130........150..........and 240. Each has a strength and many weaknesses. I have bought my 2 from different dealers hoping that one would be than than the previous. Same with service. That's not the case. It's better when they go out of warranty then you can choose your mechanic.
Interesting revived thread...MINI of Pittsburgh by their website is about 58 miles away, but I think that distance is for crows only. My measured distance is closer to 80 miles.
115 miles to Steve Thomas MINI in Camarillo. He considers all customers as family and treat us as such. Very professional and skilled people there to work on your MINI. Goes the extra mile ( no pun intended) to make sure you're satisfied.
300 miles, what makes it even better is I guess whoever owns the MINI dealerships in Washington will not allow BMW dealerships to work on the cars for warranty. Something to do with them owning the franchise in Washington state. At least that's what I was told by the SA at the dealership in Tacoma.
That's 15 minutes when there's no traffic, but around 40 when it's crawling and I'm anxiously squeezing that creaky piece of plastic on the door armrest...
