For badges, try -- motoringbadges.com
Todd, from White Roof Radio, produces some of the best

cooperflags.com is another source. Note that several people, myself included, have been having trouble getting a response from them the last few months, so not sure if something is up. Hopefully not as I really need to get another order filled through them.

Also, gobadges.com is a source for badges, although their badges pretty much require their badge holder.

If you notice, the gobadges have an acrylic coating on them. That makes them heavier than normal badges. They do have a magnetic backing, but I think they are probably too heavy to stay on with just the magnet. I wouldn't trust it that way. So the gobadges holder has a piece that goes on the front to help hold the badge on.

Or you could do like I did and use some heavy duty double-sided tape knowing I'll have to invest some time to remove the badge.

Have a few gobadges. They'll work in any holder or even with none if desired. Their holder works with other badges or other holders work with their badges. Check out the faqs on their site. The gobadges holder is the easiest and can be taken off quickly.

i like the gobadge holder looks easy to install and the chrome ring around the badge would add a nice touch. are the gobadges easier to care for/more durable because of their coating?

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and has held up to many high pressure car washes. Flawless.

Mine have been off and on several times (as the mood strikes ) and they look as good today as they did a year ago.

+1

I've had the "regular" badge holder for the last 2 years. Lost 2 badges on the highway.. And the badge holder started to rust. Just installed the gobadges holder. So easy to fit. Screw on ring to keep your badges secure. And it's all plastic, so it won't rust

I just bought 2 gobadge and holders, but didn't realize that the grille on the 2012 mini has a plastic backing behind all the chrome bars except the last one on the bottom. So I had to install my gobadges on the very bottom. I would have wanted to install them higher up and farther apart. Has anyone else come across this issue and found a creative solution for installing the badges on the 2012 grille?

I have the same issue on the 2011 and hope there is a different way of mounting it as I'm worried about the finish where it hits the bumber.

I just wrote to gobadge customer service and got a reply within the hour! Here it is (pictures too!):

Hello Kirsten,

Thank you for your recent GoBadges purchase!
It's been brought to our attention a couple 2011 and 2012 Mini models have grills that appear to be solid.
We are in the process of adding installation instructions for these newer models.
There actually are a few very small holes to attach the mounting kit to the grill using a zip-tie, instead of the velcro. We are just starting to add zip-ties in with the mounting kits.

Please confirm your address and we will send you a zip-tie with instructions that will hopefully work for you Mini Cooper Hardtop 2012.

Thanks for writing,
Lisa Osiecki
