belt tensioner bounce/rattle.

hello

A few weeks ago I was driving and the belt snapped, when I was about to change it I saw the crank pulley was broken. I bought an ATI damper and intalled it. Since then the belt tensioner is bouncing/rattling most of the time.(gets worse when AC on and sometimes just dont rattle).
I have a 16% supercharger pulley and JCW belt size.
Any ideas what could be happening?

Your tensioner may be bad or the belt is too large. Belt size you want to be using is napa 4060535

I see that your pulley setup is almost the same as mine. Is that the belt size you are using right now?
Ive found this:
NAPA#60535= 1375mm
JCW= 1374mm

Then you must have a bad tensioner if the JCW isn't larger.

The JCW oem belt is indeed a bit larger. Not sure where that info came from. But the 535 belt is the right one for the 15/16% pullies. Anything larger and you will be bottoming out the tensioner.

If the tensioner is bouncing around in all likely hood the damper is worn out. Unfortunately this is not a replaceable part. The whole tensioner assembly will need to be replaced.

The info for the JCW belt came from Realoem, the other from outmotoring.com(dont know if its correct).
I checked the belt today and its starting to worn out with just 3 days and maybe 3 short rides. I think the new crank pulley might not be well installed, or when the belt broke the first time, it damaged something there

If the new pulley isn't all the way on, the pulleys won't line up and the belt will get trashed fast.
