Found a dent on the bonnet, grr.

Well, this evening as my girlfriend was walking up to my car, she said, "Hey, did you know you had a dent here?"

It looks like someone punched my Cooper in the nose. I will take a photo when it's light out tomorrow, but there is a fist-sized indentation just up and to the right of the bonnet badge. It's not very noticeable, but of course it is driving me crazy now. There is no paint damage, no scratches or anything, not sure what happened. Can this kind of thing generally just be popped out with a suction cup? Should I try to bang it out from the inside?

This happened to my R53 at the mechanics. They had a paintless repair guy come to my home and pull it out with a suction device of some kind. Now you would never know that it was ever dented.

Thanks, I feel a little better! I just wish I knew who was responsible.

I usually park in the back 40 of parking lots to avoid discourteous drivers.

However, I came out one day and found numerous scratches on the hood. Seems a person decided 1) to park next to me a mile from the store entrance and then 2) to place either a box or something on the hood and then slide it off versus picking it up.

Fortunately the PC with Swirl on a yellow pad took 90% of them out.

Sigh......

Oh god, some people are so thoughtless! I would have been furious. I try to park far away from the crowd as well, but they still find us! I'm going to try to pull it out with a plunger today. It's a statutory holiday and I can't stand just looking at it, haha.

it you can't get it out yourself, go with a paintless dent professional. this is a godsend for those of us that hate dings. you will never know it was there if there is no paint damage. i have had several cars done with excellent results and low cost ($50/dent approx. in US).

There is no paint damage, so that will definitely be my second route. Thanks for the cost estimate, I was curious what it might run me. It's driving me crazy, the car is otherwise so clean and flawless! Well, okay, there is a little crack in a tail light from some other *******.. *sigh*
