That's great. And I am all for conservation.

But it's not a way to measure actual oil flow degradation of the filter.....the filter may still trap contaminents somewhat effectively giving an indication that oil is ok, but over time flow reduction will be evident.

On average after 8k miles I would think most filters have "had the raddish......"
