Must be the weekend for British car shows. There's one up here too - I just can't make it. Have fun Giggles!

My little luv is sporting a new decal we just got from my aunt in England. Not nearly as exciting as being there for the real thing but we're celebrating the jubilee right here in our own little garage....

Well, this being the Diamond Jubilee and all, it kinda makes sense. It was a good show. Lots of classic Minis, MG's, Jags, Sprites, a Lomax, that only has one rear wheel. Roll Royces were there, too. Should have entered Giggles. There was only one Mini in the Mini 2002+ category! She would have given that Mini a run for it's money! Next year, fer sure!

Seeing as I've named mine "Jubilee" (just got her yesterday), I'm going to have to get one of those logo decals pretty quickly here before the moment passes.

Anyway, today Jubilee and I took a spirited jaunt up and down the winding road through Cheyenne Canyon (just west of Colorado Springs), then hit up local ice cream legend BJ's Velvet-Freez for a strawberry-butterscotch malt.

Tomorrow morning, she gets her first commuter duty. I'll try to make it as exciting as possible, but I don't have high hopes.

We just returned from a 1500 mile round trip to Ohio and back in my wife's 2010 MCS (MIN MIN). It was our first long trip in a MINI. It, and we, did very well.

The power steering went for a bit, then came back.

I think I may need to replace my pump and/or fan soon...

Well, yesterday, she took me on a safari adventure in Halifax, Pa. to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park. Also met up with some Mini friends to share the adventure with. Had a wonderful time! If you get the oppurtunity to visit this place you will not regret it!

It was good! Route 225PA was pretty cool, made hubs grab the panic handle on one of the switchbacks on the way home

Mr MINI transported me from Vegas to San Diego in fine fashion. Neither heat nor sun nor pouring rain fazed him in the least - and got to use my rear wiper for the first time - love the perfect arc it makes on the back window under the spoiler. I even got my first comment ever in the parking lot of Whole Foods in La Jolla after arriving back in the Golden State. "Hey, that's a BIG one! Never saw one of those before!" To which I responded, "Yes, that's right."

I had nowhere to go, so we braked, leaned on the horn and she missed me by a couple of feet...WTF is wrong with people?

Unbelievable! I'm glad you were being a good defensive driver. Sometimes it's all you've got.

Thanks, Walter.. What are some people thinking? Oh, wait they're not thinking....idiots.

I have seen so many approaching cars cross the line, obviously distracted.

NO TEXT MESSAGE IS WORTH KILLING SOMEONE, BEING KILLED, OR SEVERLY HURTING SOMEONE!!!!

Giggles, I go through this almost daily, not head on of course, but IDIOTS non the less. I say it is jealousy...just this week I had a woman try and sideswipe me because I moved into her lane, she was clearly visible in my rearview mirror, *blinker* on and for no reason at all she sped up changed lanes, but came back into my lane. Molly had to use the Emergency Lane to keep her from causing an accident. I also had a POS MiniVan think I was in the wrong while I was playing "one potato two potato" while trying to move into traffic, again *blinker* on and following every other car...
"what's with people you ask?" majority of people are in way to much of a hurry these days, when I use my Cruise Control in our residential area I constantly get people wizzing my me, or worse crossing over the Double Yellow Line to go around me.

Yep, I see it everyday too!!

Ugh, have decided that every other person on the road is an idiot, unless they are driving a MINI, that is
