Would the roll over potentionally damage the frame as well?

Sorry if it is a dumb question, not really a car guy.

Thank goodness the kid is ok! MINI's can be replaced, people can't be. I just hope he learned his lesson!

It does make me more comfortable driving knowing the MINI can take this kind of licking and keep on motoring.

Bad things can happen to otherwise good kids......my brother rolled my Mom's Olds Gutless one night, he claimed he was run off the road (I think he was trying to race the guy) but if you believe his story, it can happen.....

Still........ I would hold him responsible because he took the car without permission, so yeah - his car is gone to help defray the costs of the repairs, and he's walking or riding a bicycle from here on out till he moves out and is living on his own dime.

Just had another thought.....wouldn't it be cool if this became a father/son project to rebuild the car? Teach the boy how to work metal and the proper use of tools. The discipline just of sanding the car out for a show quality paint job would be worth the project....and maybe teach the boy something about consequences....plus give the two some really precious one on one father/son time. Plus too and also, he would not have time to be out rolling cars with his buds!

These cars don't have a separate frame and body - it's all one piece. So technically, yes there is damage to the frame.

Not that unusual. Among NAM members, it happens a few times each year. And on YouTube, there are some spectacular footage of MINI rollovers during races.
