So I havent been on this site for a while since I dont have my MINI anymore but recently found out that the MINI Coupe is going to be on sale soon.

I cant seem to find any discussion about it here on NAM... is it me or does no one care about it?

From what I can find online through google is...

It's going on sale Aug 2011
Only 1 engine size for the Coupe 207HP (should be 211 HP same as the current JCW engine)
starting price $19,900?

Roadster to come 6 months later Feb 2012?
at $25K
with 170HP

Anyone have anymore info about it? Or point me to a thread with info?

I sincerely doubt the coupe will be on sale in August 2011, maybe someone else has a more optimistic view.

No...there are 2 new models(Coupe and Roadster) confirmed from prodution.They look like Cooper's but with 2 seaters.Look it up...they look quite interesting!

doubt the coupe will be $19,900 with 207 HP. thats a good 10 grand under the other JCW models.

But I do want one, and I want it to look like this....

 

The JCW is around $30k in the USA? I just saw a 2011 JCW on the lot up here in Canada and it was $49,000. That's it, Im moving.

I found the $19,900 price on Edmunds.com. even if its low $20's I would be totally interested if it creeps up to the $30s then There are other cars that can be considered especially with 2 seats. I think it needs to be priced lower than the JCW Hatchback otherwise I dont see them selling that many.


Oh it was 211HP not 207 as I stated in the first post.
