Sorry but that pdf is carefully worded BS. Like the part about lowering fuel economy, it makes two statements that don't refute it, but also don't answer the what they call a myth. It doesn't matter what octane pure ethanol has if our cars aren't optimized to burn it.

I agree with you there. Yeah, I realize it's mostly bologna. Should have looked around for better references.

Using our food to add to gas is just plain wrong.

When I bought my 98 Corvette I always got 29 to 31 mpg using non-ethanol gas. When it became unavailable and I got stuck with E-10 my mpg went to 21/22 mpg. I talked to other people with other cars and they all noticed that they had to fill up more often and were using more gas. Using the stupid food in our gas increases the cost of all of our food because the corn that fed the beef is now in our gas. It costs way more to create a gallon of ethanol then to produce a gallons of gas. The only thing good about the ethanol is it is making some crooked Ex-politicians very rich.

Our government pulls this crap because they want to force people to purchase new cars.(They are now in the car business, you know) E-15 will cause people to use more gas because the mpg will go down even more. More money for the oil companys, More taxes for the state, county & federal governments and even more mony for the greedy ex-politicians that are shoving all of this crap on us.

I did get a letter from Mini increasing my warrenty on my fuel pump to 100,000 miles so I guess they knew something was coming with this E-15 crap.

I need to end this before I get myself in trouble. (I'm mad as heck and can't do nothing about it)

A friend of mine pointed out this site: http://pure-gas.org/. It lists those stations that are ethanol-free. If you know of one, please add to the list.

Third tank from a station that was beleived to to be e0 was ...e17

So if my math is right if e10 equals 15.67% ethanol on average then e15 will be around 23.5% ethanol. Or did they approve the changes knowing that what is being sold is not what is being advertised.
So did BMW/MINI warranty you HPFP or did they weasel their way out of it?

Heh.... So When our Cat's burn out from the E15... I'm in for just using a catless header and O2 simulators. The extra couple HP is no skin off my back.
