Would you buy a MINI again ?
I would have to say yes, even with the amount of work I have put into it over the past 2 plus years it is still fun to drive.
This past Saturday, I had to go to Boston, for a very quick trip. Normally I would take a company plane up there, but I decided to drive and take my daughters new Honda Vtec. A very nice car, drove great, made it there in 3 hours and coming back in 2 hours 35 minutes. The Honda was flawless, yet at the end of the trip, which included 100 plus miles on the taconic parkway a nice 2 lane twisty road, I was bored, and did not feel like I was connected to the car. My son who came with me also, actually said it would have been more fun in the Mini. For me , the answer again is yes as I feel you cant put a price on fun. The Mini is not the fastest, or the best handling car I have owned, but it really has been and continues to be the most fun.

probably not....I have a 2010 JCW and you know what they say about first impressions....it is quick and fun to drive but comes across cheap for the amout of $. Rattles in the the doors, passenger seat constantly vibrates at highway speeds, a/c blower way too noisy, engine clatter from tensioner on start-up (been back to dealer), mysterious engine noises, clunking noise when disengaging clutch, now with 4000 miles on it, having doubts it
will last 50k
I am constantly getting crap in the mail from Mini, magazines, mouse pad, decals, card holder, etc.....keep all the crap and just make a good car

Definitely. Bought an 07 used and never had any problems with it in general. I did have a botched JCW tuning kit installation that kept it in the shop most of 3-4 months but even with that, I still love my car and when I do finally upgrade, it will be another MINI (probably a coupe!)
Absolutely! I'm picking mine up today after having the engine replaced due to a broken camshaft, and I'd still buy another one! Nothing else like it on the road, and it's a blast to drive. BTW... while the dealership was replacing the engine (free under warranty), I ordered the JCW Tuning Kit and had them install it while it was there! Guess that's my answer!
Although I've had some minor wear problems with my top and sometimes I get the sputtering a lot of people talk about (an 18 pg thread here on NAM) on a cold start, I still think the quality out-weighs the few flaws. I say that only because as a self-proclaimed "car nut", I've had a fair number of unique/sports cars and the Cooper has a lot less gremlins than most. Sure, for this kind of money it would be nice if it was flawless ( and we have a right to complain to BMW until they are), but take a look at the Nissan Z, Mustang, Audi, or the VW GTI sites etc, etc.............believe me, they're all the same or worse when it comes to complaints.
As for the dealer network, honestly, up here in Eastern Canada it has been A1, even after my warranty was up, they have cut me deals, etc....I've got absolutely no complaints about the dealer, getting parts or getting service done.
So would I buy another one? In a heart beat (sorry Chevy), I may skip the cabrio next time, but you never know.

I would NEVER buy another Mini...
...because I can only afford one at a time, and my R53 is a keeper.

I can honestly say I will never be without another MINI if there's ANYthing I can do about it. I've had my fair share of bumps, bruises, and "uhohs" (pun intended!) but it doesn't matter. I love my ride, love the majority of my clubs and the MINI culture, love my MINI friends, and I"m a fan for life.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Then just keep walking, there's nothing to see here...
I would buy another one as soon as I possibly could if something happened to my '02 MC. My wife liked my '02 so much she bought herself an '03 MC. With two MINIs, is there a honey-do list of repairs right now? Sure there is and always will be. Bring it on. The more I do to my cars the more I know about them and the better I feel about owning them.
