No problems yet, but I'll reserve judgement until AFTER I ditch the run-flats!

I don't think I'll buy another MINI anytime soon. I'll probably be in the market next year, but there are a lot of other cars which seem superior to the MINI based on my ownership experience. The car is in the service department way too much for a new car and it doesn't give me confidence in it's durability to keep it past warranty. I'd consider leasing another MINI in the future though! Problem with leasing is mods become even less feasible.

I would actually consider a JCW, but it's just too costly considering what it is and the options I'd want. I definitely would want a step up from an S if I got another, it's feeling slower and less interesting lately.

Right now there doesn't seem like there are that many great options... I'm considering a TDI Golf, GTI (I HATE the 2011 Packages though) and Focus ST (maybe). Hopefully better options come up by next Summer when I'll be int he market!

Buick Regal Gran Sport, Spring of 2011. That's what I'm waiting for.

That car looks pretty damn nice, surely worth waiting for. I rode in a new Regal a couple months ago in China, way nicer than I expected.

the little nagging issues in my Cooper is what caused me to finally sell it. Then I got a volkswagen and realized how great the Mini really was! lol Honestly, BMW/Mini cares a lot more about its customers than Volkswagen. After a few years without my Mini, I think Its time I get back into one. (Foreshadowing)

I am glad i read this, I already have a 2010 Malibu LTZ, and I am very happy with it. The Buick I believe is on a close to the same chasis as the malibu. I would for sure get one in the spring if it looks close to the concept one and has the 6 Speed.

Nope

We were going to get another, but have decided not to. As long as MINI keeps bottom draggin along the bottom of the JD power survey year after year without any improvement. I'll keep driving mine well into the future even if the passenger side window never works.

Ford Focus ST is a likely candidate.

VW Service is the worst part of owning a VW. It's total crap, but it's super inexpensive compared to MINI and MINI for me at least hasn't done the best job of finding and diagnosing problems. Also I've had great luck with VW quality over the last 10 years that I've been driving their cars. My R32 has been in once for a recall and once for a rattle, otherwise no problems (so far).

Still the Focus ST is seeming like a great candidate, as long as the price is kept pretty low and options are reasonable.
