Question on MINI inspection 1

Hi folks: I bought my '08 MCSC in August of '08. It had 6 K miles at the time of it's first oil change which was a year after I bought it. On it's second annual oil change the odometer had 13K miles this year in late August. I have since done 2K miles. The service advisor tells me that the MINI inspection I is not due until I drive it for another 15K miles since the second oil change which will probabaly not happen before the end of the three year free maintenance program. Is he right about the statement. I was hoping that I could get the inspection I done before the three yr period but it looks like it is related to the number of miles put in. Any input is appreciated.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's a MINI Inspection I per se, ala BMW. On my second "oil service" at around 30K miles on my '09 JCW, they did replace some filters, sparkplugs, and a couple of other things, but I don't think it's really a checklist kind of thing. Hate to say it, but the MINI "free service" isn't nearly as comprehensive as BMW's program, and with it expiring at 36K miles, the most anyone gets is two services.

the bane of low mileage driving vs MINI pre-paid service

my 07 is still 1500 miles from "service one" but they did change my brake fluid at 24 months . . . I ran out of service @ 36 months, last month. Do it early only if you can convince them it saves them money.
