Not so K9oz, all you have to do is call the month (if I remember correctly) your MINI CC expires and ask to have the MINI changed, I did this with Molly when I added the Chromeline Exterior, I did however get the JCW Aero Kit, but it is still Molly, I'm sure they would be happy to make that change for you!!

I custom configured my card with my car's image and when I got the card in the mail it was just the MINI logo. I called and configured it over the phone with a CSR and when that one came in it was a GEN 1 (mine is a GEN 2). I called back again and asked to speak with the MGR and was told that they can ONLY be configured with images of GEN I MINIs.

It looks like they still allow you to configure your MINI Card, this is how I started out with mine 3yrs. ago this month. And when I was up for renewal I called and had them make the changes that I had made to Molly, no problem!!
