BIG Thanks to Way from Way Motor Works

As the title says "A BIG THANKS TO WAY FROM WAY MOTOR WORKS ". Yesterday, I must have reached the highest point of frustration working on my MINI. Literally spent 3 hours on ONE side of the front subframe replacing a worn out control arm bushing. Taking off the original one was not as frustrating as putting in the new one!

I literally did everything we (mechanics and I) can think, but NO luck! Out of frustration and being 7:30pm at night, I was desperate for ANY suggestions. All dealers and local garages in my neck-of-the-woods were closed by then. Then someone suggested calling Way. Thinking Way is in the business of selling aftermarket parts and installations/repairs...I thought he would be too busy to provide some needed guidance. But low-and-behold, when I told Way my situation, he was able to provide me a helpful tip. What I realized what was done in 3 hours could have been done in an hour or less (both sides)

Way is the MAN !!! A little goes a long way...this shows how much he care not only to make the buck but to provide a helping hand, even though I was not a immediate customer of his!!! Thanks for your help Way! BTW the scanguage you sold me at MINI TAKES THE STATES - CHICAGO (@ Road America, 2 or 3 years ago) saved my a$$, especially when the dealership charges $80 just to read an error code.

Cheers!

You'll have to ask Way yourself...promised not to give out his secret! You might as well buy some Powerflex mounts from him instead. I heard it's A LOT easier to install and an upgrade at the same time. In my situation, it was either put back the subframe with the worn out bushings then wait till the new Polyflex bushing came in and then reinstall later OR buy oem bushing so I can put it on that day! The latter was my only choice.

I would also like to thank WAY, (1) for being straight with me on when the TSW parts are going to be back, and (2) for giving me one killer deal on a realy expensive part, he even rememberd my adress while I took a couple months to make up my mind.

It is the service that makes or brakes a buisness, and based on my experiance WAY MOTOR WORKS will be around for a long time.

My very first contact with Way was, well, way back, a few years. He called me on the phone to verify an order, and gave me the heads up and a suggestion on something that would work better, then fixed the order!!

Rather than just fill the order, Way went WAY above the expected level of service, and went to the next level, offering advise, and a better product!

It is always nice to see a good company growing....the economy has been tough for many of us, but the cream DOES rise to the top!!

Way is a good guy. Any problems or complaints I had with Way was due to misunderstandings my part or because, as Stimpy would say, I r an idgit.

A couple of weeks ago it was late Friday and I was looking at my Powerflex sets and ball joints when it looked for a minute that the parts were not correct. I called Way on a chance that he was in. He was and not only were the parts OK but it turns out the confusion was that there were extra parts. All was well and Artoo is now tight and corners like it was new. Actually better than new as we did some fixed camber plates too.

His prices are good and I am loyal. He is the top of the list to call for Mini stuff these days.

Thanks again.

Rich

Way is one of the BEST. He worked on my MINI 3 times putting mods on and each time provided honest sound advice. If you ever have a chance to go to a Mod party he is at, you will be amazed with his knowledge and honesty with his customers. Need a mod or fix ... see Way.
This was not a paid commercial, he is a good guy and sound mechanic .

I've been in contact with Way now for over two months to purchase a TSW damper. At first attempt he took my order but did tell me there would be a delay because of stock issues. He has communicated with me about the current situation with TSW and assured me that I would eventually get one.
My last conversation with him was last week after I learned he would be the new distributor of all TSW parts and he told me that I was still on the top of his list to receive one. His customer service is what I would expect from a dealer of any product, being a retailer myself, I find this commendable. I would highly recommend him and will always turn to him for advice.
