Mini clearlake now open

They opened yesterday. Was about to drive an hour away to monument to buy some oil filters, and they told me clearlake just opened. 2815577000 is the number. They are having a meet and great on the 11th from 11-2 with free food.

Finally a dealer on my side of town.

Also waiting on a alignment, and was just offered a free carwash. I think it might rain tomorrow but who is gonna turn down a free carwash.

I'd turn down the free car wash - no one washes my car but me!

Glad to hear there's a dealer down there now - we're looking to move back to that side of town (likely Alvin, maybe Pearland) if we can get our house sold.

This is good news! I may just try to make it for the meet and greet, as free food is always something I enjoy.

It'll be nice to get all my service done on this side of the world, rather than driving across town.

I just called over there. They told me the meet and greet will be from 8-11 AM this Saturday. The dealerships direct phone number is 281-557-7177, you'll skip the BMW operator by going with this number.

I'll try to make it by on Saturday!

Mike,
Pearland

You sure about that time? The HMMS montly meeting is down in the Montrose area at 10:00 on Saturday, and I thought the dealer was timing their event so that the club members could drive down there after the meeting. I know the GM for the new dealer, I'll try to verify with him.

I got an email reply from the new store's General Manager this afternoon, the Grand Opening soiree will be from 11-3 this Saturday, the 10th. He comes from years with a couple of other car companies and he says so far he's really enjoying the new culture.

I'm sure the GM knows better than the secretary

So 11am - 3pm it is! I'll be by there.

Mike

The Grand Opening party was lots of fun, saw many folks from the local clubs, as well as some noobs who just like their cars. I got a call last night from the GM and he said they were surprised and happy how many people showed up. They sold five cars Saturday, 14 the first week, and have a couple more that should close today. He told me he first got into the car business because he liked cars, and after some disillusionment over the years, he's excited to be back to a brand that engenders some enthusiasm in its owners. I think the shop will go out of its way to become the new standard for MINI dealers in our area.

I missed the event, but I'm certainly looking forward to having a more local dealership.
