Cruise Control on Mini

Thinking about buying an '07 Mini. The ad says it has cruise control, but the steering wheel does NOT have any controls on it (no buttons on it whatsoever). Does that prove it does not, in fact, have cruise control, or is it possible for a Mini to have cruise control without the steering wheel controls?

Thanks!

CC is a must if you want to retain your drivers license.
All CC controls on steering wheel.

Cruise control is on the steering wheel and if you are buying a MINI you will need Cruise to stay out of trouble. Believe me I use it all the time in the 25MPH zone so I don't get a ticket. It is hard to drive the speed limit when you are having so much fun......

It could have an aftermarket cruise control installed on it; aftermarket cruise is sometimes controlled by an add-on 'wand' if there's no controls already in place in the car (this is what was done on my wife's Yaris). Factory CC on a Mini will have the steering wheel controls.

Not on an 07. The ECU won't except an aftermarket one and its fly by wire not a throttle cable.

Ya know this is a curious question ....

I've an 07 S and cruise is not listed as standard equipment nor as part of the premium package. How did I get it?

I believe on my 02 S it WAS listed as part of the premium package but can't swear to that . . .

Was it possible EVER to get cruise without the MFSW - aka multi-function steering wheel? Or was it....

WAIT for it .....

when you order the MFSW, that's where you get cruise and most of us get that via a package????

Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!

Thanks for the clarification; didn't realize the ECU wouldn't allow for something like that.
