However, she asked what to expect next, so my legitmate suggestion was to take it to the dealer and have it looked over so she won't have any more surprises in the short run. Still seems reasonable to me.....
Well, obviously not everyone is perfect and can walk on water like you. I guess that's what was implied originally.

Basically minor problems, have them fixed and maybe everything will be all right for a long time, good luck!

You can also contact a dealer, give them the VIN and get your MINI's previous service history. They will only be able to tell you what was done at authorized MINI service shops but, I am guessing, the MINI had most or all of it's work done at authorized MINI service shops (I would guess they got rid of it after the warranty expired). This might give you a clue about repetitive problems (and if they have seemingly been fixed properly).

Good luck, I hope you are problem free from now on!

You know, I don't understand or appreciate your attitude towards me either.

Show me the falsehood in my statement.........

What adult hasn't learned the simple fact that when you're buying a used car you have it checked out by a third party if you don't have the skills to do it yourself?

How is suggesting that she take it to the MINI dealer for a once over "walking on water"?

I'm not acting superior, perfect or anything else............*******. And it's clear nothing you're writing to me is helping the thread either, so I suggest we both leave it now.....

Dave, I'd actually argue that the vast majority of the people out there do not know this or do not do this. This is something that only a small percentage of the population does and I feel you are being quite arrogant and condescending to look down on someone for not doing something that, while is a good idea, is rarely practiced.

I didn't inspect my MINI before I bought it despite telling people for years to inspect cars before they bought them. Why? It has 34,000 miles on it and was owned by an old lady who had all the records! He had an inspection 4,000 miles ago, I had everything in front of me and didn't see the need to inspect it. The OP bought the car from Carmax that inspects cars and likely felt the same way I did towards my MINI. It's a low mileage car from a reputable source, why go out of the way to confirm its a good car? Would you inspect a CPO car before purchasing it?

That's a GREAT idea! I know at what dealership it was purchased new, so I will give them a jingle. This particular dealership would also be my choice for service, because it is closest to me.

I would also like to ask them what options/packages thereof mine has.
Thanks for the idea!
