Towing a motorcycle

Does anyone tow a bike here? I know I've seen one picture once. What kind if trailers do you use and where do you get them? All the standard flatbed trailers are like $1k is that the best I can hope for? All I want is just enough to haul a <500lbs bike around when I travel.

Haven't done it, but here is a link to one of the vendors with some good info.

You know I saw that before but I didn't really get what they were suggesting because the links are kind of vague. I think they're suggesting to buy these three things.

You'll want the lightest trailer you can get. Front wheel drive isn't the best for heavy hauling. Guys in my motorcycle club like these.

mastawyrm, that is what it looks like... of course the link that DneprDave put in has a very sweet looking motorcycle trailer that is only 380# and it is fold-able... of course it wouldn't be as cheap a price, so I guess it depends on how often you plan to haul your bike.

I have hauled my bike with this (not with my MINI I don't have a hitch).

There are cheaper trailers with the 8" wheels as well. Search Utility Trailer on HF site.

You do need to get a 4'x8' plywood for the floor.

This would be helpful as well:

Or a better chock.

I use a 5' x 8' "landscape" Trailer with built in ramp. These are available for about $500 at most trailer dealers (I think even Lowes carries these) and is multi purpose. However, I tow with a truck - the Mini is a poor choice for a tow vehicle.
