Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this board and have a couple of questions regarding servicing my Mini. I am due for my Inspection I in a couple hundred miles. The dealership quoted me $425. I thought this was really high for what it includes. Every shop I called quoted me even higher (brought it down when I told them the dealership was cheaper).

First, can anyone tell me what they paid for Inspection I in the Bay Area? Were you able to get it done cheaper than $425?

Second, does anyone know of a trustworthy repair shop? I live in Berkeley. Bay Bridge Motors, Johns European?

I'm a 27 year-old female and am sick and tired of places trying to hike up the price and repair things that aren't broken because they think I don't know any better.
