how many MPG to you get?
how many MPG to you get?
I have the 2009 MCS . I have the automatic transmission and I DON'T use the manual or sport drive.
I only get 29 MPG and i drive about 3/4 highway and 1/4 city.
Is this low MPG or is this about average?
What do you get? Please state whether you have manual or automatic, S or non.

My 2009 MCCm averages about 36 mpg with 4 full-size adults on board, 50%/50% highway/city.
With only obese me on board, driving conservatively, I get about 34 mpg in town (computer), probably 32 mpg with manual computation.
My 2007 MCSm averaged about 34 mpg, 90% highway/10% city.

Depends on my driving
I get 26 mpg on the low side and 34 on the high side depending on weather I get heavy on the throttle. I used exactly 406.25 gallons of gas in 13,020 miles for a total average of 32.049 miles per gallon. I mostly get my gas at Sams Club or Cheveron if I'm on the road. High test only for my 2009 JCW. I'm more then pleased with the mpg and performance of this car. When you consider I have a few Hot Laps going around Daytona speedway added into these miles the MPG is just fantastic. I do drive like a sissy most of the time on the street though.
My 2009 JCW is stock with a 6 speed transmission, I do keep my Dunlap runflat tires inflated to 38psi using "Nitrogen" front & rear. I would say I am the only person in the car 75% of the time. One passenger about 20% of the time and two passengers 5% of the time. Of course I'm driving 100%of the time.
Nobody else ever drives my car.

Lots of previous threads on this. Your mileage isn't bad although the '07's on up usually get a little better mpg's than the older ones. Our '06 MCS auto averages about the same as yours with the same type of driving.
'10 MCS manual, average 30-31 with a mix of about 60/40 city/highway. I got 35 mpg out of a couple of tankfuls on a trip once, and that was even averaging around 80 mph. I'd love to see what I'd get on a long trip at more moderate speeds, but there's like this magnet in the floor that draws my foot to it...

I have a justa '09 automatic, I get 30-32mpg, sport always on in manual mode 80% of the time, go like hell mostly, got 34mpg on a I-80 trip to Wendover NV at avg of **mph (in keeping with forum rules on speed) with cruise control on.
2010 Mini Cooper base with manual transmission, 90% highway, 10% local, I get 38+mpg, doing 75-80mph on highways. Sometimes i get 36+mpg. The gauge reads 41.1 now, but manual calculation indicates 38+mpg.
Trip to Egg Harbor, Nj from Bowie Md, 300+ miles. Various driving conditions - 5:30am - 8:30 am drove at speed, return was 2:30pm - 6:30pm (HEAVY TRAFFIC) lots of stop and go, creeping, then faster closer to home.
Avg speed 46mph, 33.9mpg.

On my 03S, i can sqeeze out, according to the OBC, 37.9 down to 33.1-summer, 33.1 down to 29- winter. Realisticly, after gas pump math (gal of fuel subtracted from mileage), i figured 33-36- summer. Yes, i do drive spiritedly often, and do most driving on backroads to and from work. I try to avoid highways on average. I noticed a slight increase after introducing the ALTA CAI, then even more increase in mpgs after adding a 15% sc pully.
My wifes 04Justa Cooper averages 32-36 highway, using pump math.
-Just my 2 cents.

Silvia, you're getting a lot of different answers from a lot of different car owners - so the real answer is.....it depends.
On where you live....
Ambient temps and humidity
Road surface
Tire type
Tire pressures
Driving style
Fuel available in your area (more ethanol means lower mileage)
Traffic
And on and on.....
You are within the range that the MFR quotes from the EPA for your car - if you want to get higher numbers, you can change any number of these things to achieve it, but in my opinion - you should just drive it and enjoy it!
BTW, my '09 MCS Clubman automatic gets about 29 on average - my commute is 3/4 hiway, 1/4 town.

2010 MC (justa)... I drive 75% city/25% hwy.
My first tank: 41mpg average, second 37mpg, now staying around 35 with some more spirited driving here and there. Funny thing is my car gets better mpg's than my motorcycle... 2009 ZX14 (34mpg), LOL!!

I don't think any other car deliver's those kind of numbers
