As I have posted before, when trying to start a MINI 40+ mpg Club, on a justa 07 Coupe, 6 speed, non-S, no Sport button, I have a lifetime average (per a spread sheet I keep) of 40.65 miles per gallon, actual mileage calculated at the pump. On board computer will generally read about 3mpg higher than I actually get, and I use that only as a trend of how I m doing each tank.

For whatever reason, the sooner I fill up (ie, 3 lights left on the fuel gauge rather than 1), I get better MPG. If I get over like 535 miles on a tank, I am guaranteed a slightly lower MPG. Usually I fill up in the 425 mile range, plus I am a sucker for Gas Station snacks anyway....

I switched from a 2008 Justa w/ manual to a 2010 Justa w/auto and saw my mileage drop from an average of 37-39 mpg to 30-32. How come?

As a rule, automatics will get less mpg's than manuals due to the losses (slippage) in the automatic's torque convertor. 30-32 mpg is kind of on the low side for a Justa - you might want to do the usual check-ups for things that cause bad mileage.

30MPG in City/freeway stop and go driving hard. Can get 35 on the highway running fast. Plenty of mileage for the performance.

MCS manual; get around 27-28 normally. This is 80% city driving.

how many MPG to you get?

Just had a 36.5 hand calc 300 miles trip on the new low rolling resistance tires in my sig. Previous trips 33 MPG.

There is something to these LRR tires - can't wait for the Toyo's to wear out on my diesel truck, and try some light truck Michelin LRR's on it.........

Man highway driving is where it's at for MPG's... I just did a 150 trip in my "Justa" with heavy 17's running 215/45's and got 41 mpg average.

Lovin my MINI!

+1!!

I bought the 05 MCS as a commuter car because I get about 13/14mpg in my Tahoe. The onboard computer of the mini said 30.2 when I got it, and now after the CAI and exhaust mods it says 27.3. I'm sure "taking the long way home" and showing everyone my new exhaust note isn't helping matters. Plus, I never reset the computer after the CAI, so perhaps that's something I should take care of.

As long as I keep it above 26 mpg I'll be okay with it.
