Changed the oil on him and added air to the tires if needed.

Nice to see everything is still bone dry underneath.

Added the CravenSpeed Phone mount. Was a piece of cake, took about 5 min once I found my Torx set.

Finished my exhaust hack. Catless and resonator free midpipe welded to my existing JCW catback exhaust. Now, only 1 cat to deal with.

I went to High Plains Raceway this weekend to test and tune my new aero added this winter. And I would have to say it did fantastic. I took 6.5 seconds off of my fastest lap to date. And with a couple more sessions I feel I could shave a couple more. Very happy with the results!

Here is a video of one of my sessions. Sorry my editing skills are lacking, but I hope some of you guys enjoy.

End of the day, letting her cool before heading home.

Awesome, any pics of the cage?

EDIT: Found a whole bunch in your album. Holy crap, that's a pretty serious cage!

These are a couple pics of the cage. I know it looks a bit excessive and probably is. But I originally built this cage so that someday when the car and myself is ready that I would race the Pike's Peak hill climb. So as it sits it meets the standard for safety for that race today. Standards may change before I actually race it. Also I have a minimum weight that I need to keep due to the amount of horsepower the car is producing for NASA GTS requirements.

Any formal run groups and passing rules? It seems there were a few cars not being driven anywhere close to their potential (C7, 911, etc.) or are you just that quick?

Great driving!

There were no passing rules, other than to stay in the race line which some drivers didn't do. I put myself in the slow group for the first half of the day. There were a couple of Formula Atlantic cars in the fast group that I wouldn't be able to see if they were behind me, so i opted for the slow group until they packed up. As for the other cars I would say the only car really not pushing it was the Corvette. But most of these drivers were on high performance summer tires not race slicks like I was running. So that was why I could duck inside on most of the passing.

Thanks!

High Plains sure looks like a great track, Haag. Got on their website and read the development story and track specs. Full track length 2.55 miles and all the elevation and excellent radius turns you could want. Lucky and dedicated bunch of drivers.

The cage structure doesn't seem overdone in your Mini and has to stiffen the heck out of the car. Safety first. Nice work. Your whole set up is awesome. Thanks for posting the video. Really enjoyed watching your workout.

I washed Mayhem yesterday...not anything to write about usually...but someone decided it would be a good idea to let a can of spray paint fall from their vehicle. Blue to be exact (ask me how I know). The only saving grace, she was very dirty from all the road grime and rain we've had for the last several days. All the blue spatter mostly wiped right off thank goodness.

Should be quite the Summer tire. Almost a slick! Not run flat, right?

Might want to check weather in the short term, as I believe this tire is not recommended to be used when temperatures are near or below freezing. I'd have to wait at least until May to install and use here where I live in Maine.

Please give us your impressions about the tire once you do get them rolling under your Mini!

😳 Wow! What kind of tires are those? I have a 2010 MCS and would be interested in maybe getting these to replace my almost worn out Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Thank you.

They are Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R. Soft and sticky.

Correct, they are not runflats. I'm in Buffalo NY so the tires are nice and warm in my basement right now

I probably won't be getting them mounted this weekend as I was hoping to, but I mostly just wanted to get them test fit on my car with my new coilovers.

Stormcooper vinyl

Finally finished applying the vinyl stripes to my daughter's R56. She's calling it Stormcooper now.

Let me know how they perform in the wet, also in buffalo. I'd put them on my second set of wheels for sunny days only, but incase it rained I'd like to know if they would be ok.

Installed a powerflex engine support bushing Ive had on my to-do list for the winter.

Im amazed how minimal the stock bushing is. I added a few more pictures on my site:
