What did you do to your mini today?

went on a quick run during lunch and had a moment of absolute zen in the MINI.
It was a moment where my mind and the MINI's handling became one as a giant gopher attempted suicide directly in front of me. No idea how I missed him, but I did. I think Obi One's voice in my head just as the little bugger hurled himself in front of me made all the difference.
It went something like this...

This weekend I painted the calipers on my 2010 Chili Red HT (see attachment). The entire project took nearly 3 hours. I used two sets of Jack Stands so all four wheels can be removed at one time which is a good idea because the two-part epoxy paint started to harden a bit by the time I got to the last caliper. The G2 paint kit includes everything you need but, make certain you have pleanty of rags on hand and GoJo soap for cleanup! The end result is great and well worth the time and effort! Happy Motoring!

Had the timing chain tensioner replaced with the re-engineered but stock length tensioner. Did not have a death rattle yet but Im beginning to think the tensioner should be treated as a wear item and changed every 50K just for safety. The tensioner oil seal was starting to smoke. and now find out that the VANOS unit control solenoid seal is leaking as well. Wondering if this will be my first and last MINI/BMW, terrible engineering and parts quality. Also had the lower engine mount bushing inserts installed, big difference, little more rumble/buzz at idle transmitted through the dash and seat, but on the roll, worthwhile, horsepower much smoother putting down to the ground, power out of a turn hard with much less torque steer/wobble. All work performed at OxSpeed in Pasadena. Look Rick up if you are in the area, they do very good work.

Yes,
Those do look great on your White MCS !
I cant believe the difference these trim pieces make to the whole de- chromed look.

I put sticker bomb stuff on the beltline but didn't like it too much. I still have it on the hatch. I am messing around with ideas. This is 3M "beltline tape" with some red pinstripes. I kind of like it and think I'll do the whole side to see how it looks. It's cold here so a car wash is very overdue:/

Some quality garage time this morning to:
...convert to wheel studs from wheel bolts
...install my summer rims and tires (JCW Challenge wheels with 205/45-17 Continental DW)
Very pleased so far...I'd had the Blizzaks on since late November, so it was affirming to zip a couple of entrance ramps on the way to lunch today.
Just a quick photo...not that everyone hasn't seen JCW rims, but I thought I'd catalog a photo of JCW's with NM Alpha springs. And, you usually don't see JCW rims on Ice Blue MINIs.

You are welcome and I am glad I can help.
Your MINI is really getting the treatment. The scratch guard on the rear bumper really works with the other black pieces. Keep up the mods!
We need a shot of the front now with the new Black Line Trim Headlight surround with the grille.
