Got my new H11 LED fog bulbs in and a few cheap 194 LED bulbs. Not impressed with the 194's, but the H11's.....I love. BTW, the H11's were $7 shipped off eBay.What did you do to your mini today?-image-3555108280.jpgWhat did you do to your mini today?-image-3862491173.jpg

Those look nice! Wonder if those have issues with throwing codes on the 2nd gen MINI's?

I don't know too much about 1st gens vs 2nd gens. I put in some LED bulbs in my rear license plates and the computer threw a bulb out warning. Had to get a buddy to do the NCS coding to get rid of the warning so i could keep the LEDs in there. Do 1st gens have bulb out warning indicators?

Not sure, haven't had any issues yet. Except the led's I put in for my license plate kept flickering. They were cheap, needed resistors. So I put one in the dome and the other in the glove box. Work fine there.

Yes they will. The bulbs I put in my fogs draw way more power than the bulbs he used and I got warnings for both lamps. If you decide to get some LEDs down there I'll code out the warnings for you tho if you want.

Also, today I sent off my Christmas list to my parents I also designed a couple grille badges and am trying to decide if I a grille badge looks good on Pip or not. I have a couple custom designs that I want made too. I think I like it, but I also like the clean lines without it.

Thanks, Chris! I probably won't. I want yellow down there and the reviews on Amazon regarding the yellow LED H8 bulbs are that they're worse than wedge bulbs I bought Nokya Yellows, but one of them blew out after one day. Luckily they have a 30 day warranty. I'm buying one more set to see how it goes. If they blow out again, i'll just stick with white LED bulbs like yours. When that time comes, i'll check with you on which ones you have and then have you code it out along with the NCS speedo display

I have the BlackJack R55S grill badge from GoBadges and it goes with my blackjack side scuttles. I got a lot going on in the front though, so it doesn't look out of place. Pip looks super clean and not busy at all. I think a badge actually takes away from it. What about a rear license plate holder with badge?

Here's what mine looks like:

If you got the rear license plate holder, you could just do both. I think it's more fun to have them in back so drivers behind you can see. But if i had to choose one for the front, i'd choose this one

I ordered the Outmotoring LED lights. Am I likely to get an error code when I install them? Their site says its pretty much a straight swap for the OEM versions. Does anyone here have those?

Are you talking about exterior or interior lights? The Interior lights won't give any bulb out warnings. Only the exterior ones will.

That's Ryoma111's car on Outmotoring's website. He bought those and did a pretty good review on them. I don't recall if he had issues with bulb out warnings, but PM him to find out if you don't want to dig through 6 pages of posts

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...tmotoring.html

EDIT: Ok so i was bored and i kind of glossed over the 6 pages. Proceed with caution as there seems to be mixed reviews on getting them to either fit or work properly. Lots of good info in that thread. Good luck!

Yeah it does kinda muddy up the front :( I thought about getting the rear holder but the rear looks clean too! I'd like to get multiple badges and swap them out when I get bored.

Also last night I experimented and wrapped my hoodscoop in some left over matte white vinyl. Not sure if I like the look or not

Hmm, i kinda like it. Maybe buy a 2nd hood scoop to keep one black and one white and change it up every once in a while

I will have to say that it looked better with the black scoop. Just my .02 worth.

Day, you're awesome. I read the whole thread. Might just bail on them and send them back since they're already in the mail. Wish they weren't so challenging to install and if they flicker and are illegal in MA, I am no longer interested.

Gave it another coat of wax. I still have yet to let it see rain though unsure how long that'll last.

No problem! Sorry it might not work out for you. Very cool lights, but may not be worth the headache.

Not sure if you saw the post by outmotoring in the other thread but they said all problems were fixed in the revised versions of the fogs.

Yup indeed! That's great. I'm very glad they updated us on the changes.

Once they arrive I'll get a quote from Greasy's on installing these, as it seems like a 2-person job and I can't see my wife spending an evening in a cold garage helping me remove and reattach a bumper.
