Most memorable MINI stories
I purchased a used MINI from a Toyota dealer in Miami, and the very next day I it brought back to the dealer who originally sold the car, Braman MINI of Miami. They were great. I didn't have an appointment, I just went to ask some general questions. The service advisor asked for my keys to put into his computer and he found my lil MINI wasn't serviced for 2 years. He said we need to service this car immediately. I said OK, when? He replied right now. My lil guy was taken to their shop for inspection and service. I was told it would be approximately 3-4 hours, would I need a loaner car. I told him I'm from Connecticut, and I could just hang around. What a dealershiip! I was a kid in a toy shop. Name a super luxurious car, they sell them. I was going thru their showrooms like someone visiting a museum. He insisted on buying me lunch, and giving me a tour of their facilities. During the tour we visited the English service area. I saw my lil guy on a lift between a Bently & Rolls Royce. It's an image I don't think I'll ever forget.
Gr8 story, Steve! I can't say Scoopie has had the opportunity to hang out w/the rich & famous (yet), but here's my most memorable ...
I was going to visit my best friend one afternoon, and it was raining. I hadn't had Scoopie that long (maybe a couple of months), nor had I experieced all types of weather conditions in that time. However, I did know how she handled on dry pavement and had built up my confidence in navigating the twisties. Well, this time, I know I was going a little faster than 'normal' into this pretty deep curve at a stoplight where the opposing traffic was stopped. The road was pretty wet and I knew not to slam the brakes. For a moment while approaching this curve, I saw myself skidding, jumping the curb, and smashing into this line of waiting cars and got a little nervous. All I could think of was 'just turn the wheel, woman! TURN!', so that's what I did. Scoopie was like, OK ... ain't nothin' but a thang, and did it. Just like that. No slipping, no skidding, nothing. She purred merrily along as if we'd been driving a straight line the entire time. I, on the other hand, was a giddy, nervous, gibbering mess, and could've kissed her dash if I could reach it! LOL I started laughing and shouting, OMG! SHE DID IT! I LOVE U, SCOOPIE, U GO, GIRL! Told my friend about it when I got there and we both had a good laugh.

Those are MINI Memories that will be etched in your mind FOREVER and you didn't have a Camera??!!
Glad to here you were so graciously taken care of...give a Shout Out to the Dealership...other MINIacs should/would want to pay them a visit!!
Most memorable story, no, most comical....:
I am 19, worked all summer to get money for a down payment for a loan for my mini...
before buying my car i went to visit my grandfather (who is 40 years in the army, all old fashioned, all american)
Well after telling him "what" a mini cooper is his eyes just got wide, and said sounds cool.
anyways to make the story short a couple days after i got it i went to his house to show him, he came outside and just stared. walked around it, and said BLOODY HELL. this thing is completely brit!
Well i took old pa for a... well. my average ride down some open roads and twist.
when we pulled back in the driveway, he was grabbing the oh **** handle and says "those damn foreigners really now how to make a car"
now everytime i go over he ask me questions about the car
