im buying one. perfect for when my wife's relatives come over and hog all my computers.i'll have something to get online with i wonder if in time it will jailbreak like the ipod and iphone or take apps you already have.
The iPad will run almost all of the apps designed for the iPhone. You just download them from the App Store. Or, if you already have apps for your iPhone or iPod touch, you can sync them to iPad from your Mac or PC. Then you can run any of those apps in either their original size, or you can expand them to fill the screen.
I'm thinking about getting one when they come out. It's a cheaper alternative to buying the full blown MacBook and I don't really need a netbook for just getting on the internet..
Was interested for about three minutes until I got to the part about the same no multi-tasking limitation as the iPhone. Would probably like to load apps from sources other than the App store as well. Oh well.
it's actually Asphalt 5 from Gameloft, check the itunes app store, it's available free , but only seems to include the audi tt & nissan 370z.
or the full version for $5 starts you off with the Mini.
you can customize the Mini's color and the usual ton of upgrades. The do have the exhaust coming out the middle as it should on the Mini, but it's only the older R53.
should note, it's a decent game as well, easy to hop into & play, and it's not overly realistic (eg. no real damage or tricky handling).
If they can make the user interface look like the PADDs from Star Trek TNG/VOY then I'd be all over this Ippad thing.
If you're running windows, there are lcars replacement shells, but you could get this or this for your iphone/ipad
I think that's crossing the line from geeky to nerdy 'tho.
