Mini Roadster Concept

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but MotoringFile is showing some of the pages from the Mini Design Past Present Future book. Upon browsing the latest one, I saw a concept for the roadster, and man I love it! I wish they had done something a bit more similar to it in the concept vehicles.

It's the one on the right side of the left page towards the bottom.

Compared to what they kind came up with:

I guess I shouldn't post them all, but there are more at Motoring File. What do you guys think? I think it would be great!

I love the roadster and the coupe concepts. If I could have waited a year, I would have most likely gone with the coupe, since the back seats are rarely used in my hardtop. I love the more slanted windshield and rear glass. I actually like the roof too, how it somewhat mullets back. It makes the lines not as smooth, and I think it works in this situation. One thing I do hate is all that chrome... blah.

They are OK but I don't need a roadster, and the coupe has that funny looking rear roof treatment. Not for me, but others may love 'em.

Definitely think it's for me. But I agree with you, some people may not like the roofline. Like how some people make not like the R60.

Whatever happened to the Triumph roaster concept? I remember a sketch which intrigued me, but on quick search I can't find it. That was more interesting to me than a re-worked MINI cabrio. Anyone have that image?

Some dealers have the "International Mini" magazine which is smaller and had some of those photos in it.

Amazon.de if you don't mind the German version.

Motoringfile is trying to gather enough support online to get an English-language version published.

i am in love with the coupe. i think its the stripes that catch my eye mostly.

however, i still like the look of our Mini Coopers because im more into hatchback euro style... basically im into and love everything about our cars.

Excellent! I could park several in the space formerly taken up by the Cherokee!
