Who has heard of this?

I live in a place where it can get pretty cold during the winter months. Normally when this happens, ice forms on the OUTSIDE of the windows and windshield on a car. Not me. Every time it gets cold enough for ice to form, I get it on the INSIDE of the windows and windshield as well!!
Not only do I have to scrape the outside, but the inside as well. That's twice the amount of work!

Yeah, my old Saturn Ion used to do that in very specific temperatures. I never tried replacing the carpeted floor mats with rubber mats to see if it was just the amount of moisture the carpet retained or what, but I agree, it's incredibly annoying.

Hasn't happened in my Mini yet, though.

It could possibly be a leak somewhere causing condensation to build up on the inside of the windshield. What you need to do is possibly see if there is a leak somewhere and eliminate it. Then clean the inside of the windshield really good and add an anti-fog product to it. You might want to use the fresh air vent from time to time. Using the recirculating vent can cause moisture to build up inside of a car real quick.

And remember to run the heat on high WITH the air conditioning on to rapidly dehumidify the interior.

And yes, make sure you are not using the recirc all the time. You need fresh air....

Strange, I NEVER run the recirc. It feels too stuffy. The heat on high, with the ac, huh? I'll give it a shot. I'll go for the cheapest solutions first.
