Official Automatic Transmission Owners' Club
Hey I'll join in 2009 mcsa jcw aero ds! Love these smg style transmissions! Drove a BMW 1serious with the twin clutch and it seemed to shift to fast you don't feel the **** like in our cars. It seriously took the fun out of it! I love the auto we stay in boost throug gears and manual drivers will have a harder time keeping up through the corners! All my supra friends making over 500hp leave me in the dust on the highway but we started on some back windy roads and mini FTW!
I join in! I have a 07 MCa, at first I hated it, but as a poster above stated, you can focus more on the wheel and do better driving. Just as good as a manual!
Can we get a new roster list?

I posted this in the accessport thread but wanted too see if anyone here could help me because i have an automatic.
received my accessport 3 weeks ago and when i installed it all the stage 1 tunes cause the same problem. Everytime the car changes gear i lose all power and then i get a surge of power. It feels as if someone is repeadetly jamming on the throttle. Im not being picky the car is actually undriveable with the Accessport installed, and on top of that my Rpms are very unstable when the car is idleing. The car even does this when im using the tiptronic. I was wondering if anyone had this problem I have a 2009 clubman A/T with an alta CAI and Turbo Inlet. When I uninstall the AP my car runs beautifully. And ive had the car looked at by a MINI mechanic who also said everything is fine Mechanically. I Talked to Jeff at Alta but hes never heard of it before. So please any advice would be really appreciated.-Thanks

I wish more people were aware of the issue of aftermarket HID kits

I get caught in SoCal traffic way too much to make a manual enjoyable. I gave up manuals back in '01 with my Lexus and haven't looked back. The paddles in the MINI are better than the buttons that the IS300 had.
Sign me up!
Selling my MCC manual and just ordered a 2012 MCSa! I love shifting, I learned how to drive on a manual, everyone in my family had one at the time! Have owned 3 manuals and 2 automatics. Guess I'm evening up the score, and I am quite sure driving with the paddles will be way more enjoyable than driving my automatic '95 Honda Odyssey and '04 Element! Looking forward to it, esp on those days when stuck in stop and go traffic!

Not much at all. Approx 2-3" Just don't want to drive the new car in the slush so the 330i is on duty. Forecast is calling for a high of 53º and rain on Monday so hopefully it will all melt and be washed away by then.
Denver area doesn't, but I don't have a back up car anyway.
