Reliability: Cooper vs. Cooper S

I am in the market for a used mini (probably an '05 or '06), but I am still undecided on the exact model. How reliable are the superchargers that they have on S models?

I know that is a very general question, but I would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks in advance!

I think both 05 and 06's of either variety are pretty reliable. I have an 06 MCS JCW and my dad has an 06 MC. Neither one of us has had many problems.

Thanks for the reply. I just found the motorfiling article, and it was pretty reassuring. After reading it, I see why there are so many '04's on the market.

Right now there are two that I am looking at, an '05 MCS with 39k miles on it for $15,500. There is also a '07 MCS with 30k miles for $17,500.
