My wife walked around with a very noticeable "C" on her calf for almost a year.

Started some very interesting conversations...

The "brand" courtesy of my 2006 MCS Checkmate. But then the car and the wife never really got along...

This issue reminds me of the cat and the dog who both got burned by the stove. The cat never went near a stove again, but the dog was smarter. The dog knew if he felt no heat radiating from the stove it was safe.

Don't be the cat, don't touch hot things.

Yes, I'm a dog person :-)

I don't know the measurements, but it should not protrude beyond the bumper at all. It was a mandatory recall. If the car was ever serviced by a dealer after the recall, it would have been applied.

I seem to remember mine protruded about a quarter of an inch when cold. When hot, they would expand and it would probably be a good half inch.

I've brushed up against the MCS tips before, not burned but it gets your attention.

Unless, of course, one wants to show off a bit...
