I need your help fellow NAMers!

I'm sure that most of you are aware that Uncle Sam has initiated a program which is being reffered to as, Cash for Clunkers. It allows you to trade in your old car receiving up to $4500 in trade-in allowance!

Well I have a car that is elegible for trade-in and I have been lusting after a MINI for quite awhile. The time is now to pull the trigger but my problem is that I am unable to find a MINI dealer that is participating.

I have checked the CARS.gov website and am unable to locate a participating MINI dealer. I live in northern Illinois and have not gotten a response from the three dealers in the Chicago area when I e-mailed them concerning this program! You'd think that they would want to sell a car wouldn't you... but no reply!

So, does anyone know of a MINI dealer in the midwest or for that matter ANY MINI dealer that is taking part in this program? If you do please shout out and let me know... My MINI is waiting!

I just spoke to the salesman who I bought my JCW from last Spring, and he told me that they are indeed participating in that program.

Ask for Garland, and tell him Doug Whalen sent you.

By the way; where in IL are you? I live just outside of Freeport.
