Save the Wave needs more presence!
Wolfee, "crib" is an older term for "steal", like "crib on a test" is to steal answers. I definitely would not expect a young 'un like you to know that
I'll translate that to New Yawk:
"Yo, gohead an taygit. Wassamatta, ya shy or sum'in? Noh, fuhgeddaboudit, I don need no credit o nu'un. Gwan geddoudda heah! Heh heh heh. punk."
("No, go ahead, don't be shy, really")
In Pittsburgh, it'd be
"It needs printed. Yunz goh dahntahn, there's a shap there."
(Yunz = "youse" in NY/NJ = plural pronoun of "you").

Is it sad that I could understand each and every one of those translations, before it was translated???

Atlanta is really not the place for the WAVE. I was surrounded by not 1, not 2, not 3, 4... yes four Mini Cabrios this morning on my way to work. Not one of them looked around for the wave! So there were 5 Minis within 20 feet of each other. Disgrace. We need a Wave police to report them to. Penalty... 2 week detunning.
That is totally unacceptable!
It is a real shame that they are not getting the full experience.
galoki, if you ever see a guy in a rental car wave at you it is me in town on business. please don't think it is a Cabrio trait I always intend to wave!
Keep trying and Motor on!

No one waves in the Northern NJ area . ( Bergen County ) I must see 6 mini's a day on my way to work through Westwood ,Washington Township to Parkway to Rt.80 to Parsippany NJ. Not a one reciprocates my acknowledgment of their cool car . I believe people are buying their car without any knowledge of the WAVE .
I think part of the problem is that you all live in such large cities. I live in Northwest Arkansas, so seeing another MINI is a rare and special occassion, and usually I am greeted with lots of enthusiasm! I'm gonna start using "crib it" in my daily vocabulary. That's some sweet lingo!
^ I love this!

I am a big time waver! Sometimes I think I might embarrass my husband a little
He is a waver also, but I get a little wild about it. It always bums me out when I don't get a wave back! When I do it makes my day!

Shibby!
Most fun wave experience in recent memory:
I'm motoring on Scottsdale Road when I see a new (paper plates) Silver MINI so I wave. The driver, an affluent looking lady, does a double-take as if thinking "the sales guy (MA) wasn't kidding! They really do wave!". She then waves brightly and off we go.

But the real question is, how do you feel if somebody who is not in a Mini gives you "the wave" or a similar gesture of approval for one's transportation?
And yes, I am the creep that gives the thumbs up to anything that I see and like on the road, even if I'm in a 1 1/2 ton truck pulling a trailer.

Crib it / Badge
Yup - I haven't had them made up, only the design... but feel free to crib it off of me!
And not only am I in Pittsburgh, check the sig... and www.pittstopmini.org. We've got some neat stuff coming up, and we almost ALL wave.

Drove by a nice guy in a red Daewoo
who gave me a thumbs-up on I75. As I waved back (hesitantly
) - he wiggled around in his seat, reached in his pocket, and pulled up next to me holding out....a MINI keyfob.
Made my day.....

On my way home from work Monday Night, Sun Roof Open, Radio Blaring, I needed to get over into another lane, what better place to squeeze into than right in front of another MINI (CR/W). I wave out of my Sun Roof and so does she!!
That is awesome to get the sunroof wave!
I agree the Dealerships should be promoting the wave as it is almost like advertising for them if they help built the fun and love of MINI's!
Keep waving!!!

When living in CT and driving in NY, we always got wave-backs. Moved 2 yrs ago to OH and they looked at us like we were nuts
*&^%$ But we never gave in, still trying to convert them into wavers.
Funny thing is I get more Harley bike riders who pull up next to me and give me the thumbs up, than i do Mini wavers. <sigh>

I was looking forward to being included in the "wave" before I got my Clubbie. After I picked Blue up on the 6th of June, I have seen at least a dozen Mini's, but alas, no wave. How dissappointing. I will keep trying, though, so nobody give up hope!!!! If anyone is in or around the burbs of Chicago....WAVE!!!!!
