WAY wrap v. M7 shield???

I'm not finding any conclusive evidence that one is necessarily better than the other at reducing under Scoop temps. Anybody have empirical data to support purchasing one over the other?

Also, does anyone have a pic of the Way Wrap prior to installation? I tried some other wrapping methods over the weekend, unsuccessfully, but I just don't understand how the Way Wrap fits around the turbo.

Thanks!

i had a way wrap on my 07 mcs. it has wires and a couple of hooks to wrap the wires on too. it fits over the hot side of the turbo , you run the wires under the turbo and hook them on the hooks and twist them down tight. put the heat shield back on and run the engine and it will smoke up the place for a lil while , but its just cooking on the turbo. dont worry it can be removed, the heat from the turbo kind of molds on the turbo. make sure your outside when you start your car and leave the hood up. i had mine on for about 50000 miles and no problems at all. the under hood temps do go down and if you run a air intake you will see the difference because it does make a lil temp drop for the open filter. also open up all the holes in your hood scoop , i did that on mine also and it helps everything work together a lil more. hope my 2 cents helps . happy modding.

the wrap is sewn in the shape of the turbo and it fits over the top of the turbo like a clam shell.

Thanks for your comments. Why did you go with the wrap vs. the M7 Shield? Also, why did you only run with the wrap for 5,000 miles?
