Yeah I saw that video not long ago. Probably one of the best and only "viral" videos for the R56 MINI worth their weight in gold.

The Cart commercial somehow reminds me of the Kleine GTI commercial for the VW GTI back in 1983-4...

Why do nearly all of the commercials from the 80's have a similar sounding announcer? It's not the same guy, but they all sound similar.

Now they all sound like Alec Baldwin or John Boy Walton.

Oh, wait. They all ARE Alec Baldwin or John Boy Walton...

It's too bad that the current volkswagon commercials are now some of the worst commercials on TV. They used to be pretty good. The talking VW bug with the German accent is just stupid and I think they pulled the ones with Brooke Shields because they were offensive.

VASCoop - definitely with you there. Almost as bad are the Detroit commercials of a couple years back that simply SCREAMED money, lease deals, financing... and really don't say anything about the product... of course, if that was my product...

BUT: That said, check out some of the newer Detroit iron. Yes, it's not a Mini or BMW, but they've really come a long way, and should be commended for the progress. Are they "there" yet? Maybe not, but they're at least a viable option for the mainstream (but perhaps not the the MINIstream).

This one is a pretty good commercial for the R56 also.
