What's the deal with the Red Bull Coopers? Do they get paid to drive them around? I see them from time to time. I saw one a while ago in Simi Valley, CA and I saw one today in Pacific Beach, CA.

 

Yeah they are driven around by the Red Bull Girls; they drive around to different events/colleges/beaches giving out free Red Bull.

 

Does anyone have the story behind them, who made them, etc.?

 

I don't know the details on how the Red Bull promotional campaign works but I bet it is a part time gig. I was at MINIS in the Mountains last year and they showed up. Everyone like the part with the girls were out washing their vehicles. I got them to pose for me while there. The image is in my sig.

 

I was walking to class one morning last semester and one pulled up next to me and the girls gave me a Red Bull. I didn't drink it.

 

They used to drive around in Isuzu Brats. I did a double take the first time I saw the mini version.

 

Just to clarify, Subaru made the Brat. Funky little cars with the seat in the bed.

One of the Red Bull Minis made a random pass through my neighborhood couple months ago.. so they stopped and stocked up the local kids with Red Bull... So I got some photo ops..It wouldn fit in garage though...

We've got a silver and blue R56 Red Bull MC that's always on campus. The girls wave when they pass me.

Yea, they were called the Suzuki X90. They were ugly and didn't sell very well. Red Bull probably got them real cheap.
