Winter Care

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the MCS scene and I live in good ol' Ohio where we just got hammered with about 1" of ice/freezing rain and now snow. I do not have a garage at the moment and I chiseled my MCS out from under 1" of ice this morning. It wasn't bad once I was able to get inside and start it to get the defrosters going. Any tips on good winter care (inside and out)? Once the weather warms up a bit, I'm going to take it to a car wash and spray it down to give it a good bath and get the salt and road grime off.

Some things I was wondering about...

1) Good winter care
a) interior care
b) exterior care
c) good cleaning products to use

Thanks for everyone's help!!!!

I'm from Montana and we also just got dumped on... I've been washing myself with just normal car soap and a car sponge. Wipe down with a chamois cloth. Then I use Windex on the windows followed by a spray down and wipe with Plexus. Just been using Windex and a rim cleaner brush on the wheels. Looks great once its done. Sounds like its going to be a lot of work if you don't have a garage. As for the interior Ive been using the armor all wipes in there. Hope that helps a little.

Rubber floor mats are the best in winter.

Thanks!

I just ran my MCS through a touchless car wash after work. After driving next to semi-trucks on I-75, she was pretty much covered in road grime

But, she's clean now!

Oh, yeah, and I'm looking at purchasing some WeatherTech floor mats and a boot mat...just for that added protection.

Isn't the car soap irritating to your skin? Do you use it on your hair, too?
