Sorta OT, but figured some folks might get a kick out of the car we're preparing for the 24 Hours of LeMons race in New England this summer.

It's a 1979 Peugeot 504, and this past weekend we drove it around a little to see how it drives, and tore the interior out. I love the thing.

Just to be picky and annoying, it's LeMANS.

 

No, it's not...........he's referring to the "24 hours of lemons", oft spelled LeMons, a completely different idea in that you're only allowed to spend $500 on your race car (+ safety upgrades like a roll bar, new brake pads and tires with actual tread on them)

It's actually quite a fun event, I have some friends attending this year as well........

Best cars for the event seem to be rear drive Toyotas, or possibly a 320i or a Fiero.

Nope. The 24 hours of LeMons is a race in which cars entered can have a value no higher than $500, race roll cage and certain other parts excepted. Check it out: http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/
