well ive been pulled over quite a few amount of times already.
i live i mexico, and go to houston/ san antonio every 3-4 weeks.
i got pulled over once on the highway going to houston because i think the cop suspected something about my car. it was brand new i was doing the first "road trip" on it, and the cop decided to pull me over.
I wasnt speeding, i wasnt driving bad or anything. When he pulled me over he said that i didnt have a sticker that resembles the license plate of my car on the back windshield. (in mexico you get your license plates, and a little sticker with the same numbers and you are supposed to put it on the rear window, but i never do since it looks bad, i just keep it in the glove compartment).
anyways, i was arguing with him that that was a MEXICAN law and that he didnt have jurisdiction over me. He said he had pulled over "numerous" amounts of mexican cops, and they had said that the sticker was enforced by law (although ive never been pulled over here in mexico). So he really didnt have an excuse and just gave me a ticket that said something like... obscured window sticker or something..
Im thinking he just thought my car looked suspicious and since he didnt have a reason for pulling me over, just gave me the damn warning.

besides that, ive gotten pulled over 4-5 times here in mty mexico.
one for not making a full stop before turning, and the rest for speeding in "school zone" got off all of em without a warning or a ticket and without a bribe.

ok kinda long i know

Cop admitted that she saw it was not plugged in and it did not have batteries but gave me a ticket anyway. Moral of the story, take you radar detector off the windshield while going through VA, it could save you $40.
I carry my VI radar detector everywhere with me, been pulled of 40+ times in my GTO with it and the cops never saw it.

HAHA OMG i had forgot me too.

the day i got my car ( you dont get paper plates in mexico) the dealer said they could lend me some plates they use on demo cars, so i could go to my city (300kms away).

i stayed in mty that day and was riding around in my car when unfortunatly a cop pulled me over. REASON? the plates where in proccess of being changed (they change every 2 years) so the cop saw a NEW car with OLD plates, and decided to pull me over.

he asked me for my registration ( i had none it was new)
i was like look it only has 80kms...
he didnt care and called another cop, which in turn called a wrecker, and they were going to take my newly purchased car!!!
so i did what every person does in that case, bribe the cop with 500 pesos (used to be 50 dlls, now its like 33 dlls).
i didnt even manage 1 day without getting pulled over!!

40 plus times. I bet your one of those people that learns the hard way? Apparently the radar detector didn't do much good.

I just got pulled over a week ago. Said I was going 50 in a 35 zone. Warned me about tint and didn't say anything about my euro plate in the front. I was nice and pleasant, so that's probably why he just wrote me a speeding ticket and nothing else. Not much else you can do. Being a jerk to him probably would have cost me my front tint and Euro plate. Doesn't make much sense to be anything but nice.

Just got a ticket today >:( 66 in a 50. I was late to class, and was made even more late thanks to the officer. What really angers me is the fact that officers constantly pass me while doing 65 on that road without giving it a second thought. What is really a bummer is the fact that I had a really old warning where I keep my registration, and the police officer thought that it was a recent one. I might have gotten away with a warning had it not been for that old one.

I recently got a ticket on mine going relatively slow (80 miles per hr). Honestly I have got a lot more tickets driving a Frontier and a Liberty than in the mini.

Chaseabryant, here in Texas, an officer on patrol has no speed limit........but he has to drive with due regard to conditions then and there existing for his and the public's safety. Also, he has his department's policy to follow. Let the officers speed and motor on.
