My MINI buried in snow

Here are some pics, after having broken a 40 year record for snowfall in the Portland metro area. We currently have aprox. 12 inches of snow on the ground (this is NOT typical of Portland) with more to come later this
week. I miss driving my mini

Put some snow tires on it and drive it.

We received over 26 inches in the past three days and i am still driving mine. In fact it is the best car i have drive in the snow in the last 25 years.

No money for snow tires this season and so the mini sits. I would like a set of the blizzaks for christmas, that would be nice. My UHP All season F1's don't really handle snow all that well.

Feel your pain for the unexpected!

Looks like a minor dusting to our neck of the woods.

We are better "geared" for it here, since after all, we picked this as home!

Got less than a foot over the weekend with minus 13 degrees this morning.

Snow planned for Tues, Wed, Thurs... you get the picture.

Us guys who expect it have learned how to have a bunch of fun in a MINI!

(Check my gallery for a few snow shots.)

Don't worry, it melts eventually!

Amazingrando...I feel for ya'. We live in Vancouver have 8" on the ground. My MINI has been in the garage all week except for two trips out for errands. And getting her back in the garage was NOT FUN. The Sun will shine again, after 1 - 6" more inches of snow expected for Wednesday. Keep the faith, You and Your MINI will ride again!!

That looks more like a snow tank than a MINI.

We got a little here in Michigan.

The fridge and liquor cabinet are well stocked so we're not going anywhere for a while.

We got some snow, almost a half foot, nowhere near your amount. Hope the digging out is not horrendously hard. Careful motoring this winter.

Well, it finally stopped snowing.

Our first snow storm of the season has ended with 42 inches as the official total. We don't count the ones under a foot. For the most part, my mini will stay inside the garage in the bad weather. I just took him out today so he could get a little sun.

The orange flag in the background is attached to the fire hydrant! Last year it was covered up with snow by spring!

In the summer. Oregon has two seasons.... rainy and August.

This darn snowstorm has prevented me from getting the delivery of my Mini! I am so glad the snow has melted away! Sure are some cool pictures though.

Wow, that's quite a bit of snow.

You're not the only one getting colder than normal weather; even here in "sunny southern california". Last week, all the freeways in southern california leading north (except the 101) were blocked because of snow. The last much of North Orange County and LA dropped below freezing.

Despite Al Gore's psychotic ravings, the world is actually getting colder (scientific evidence indicates that the sun, not "greenhouse gas", is what affects global temperature and the sun in a period of declining activity). So, get used to colder winters. The sun is supposed to warm up a bit in around 2012, but is this climate cycle is anything like the last 10, the world will be getting colder for the next 2 centuries or so.

2012. But only briefly, get ready for a colder century.
