Here is my 2010 R55s with Hella black Hellas. I'll take better pictures later.
Whoa! Those black Hellas look really good. Is that the Hella 500's? Outmotoring has them for about $140, so I've been considering those, but wasn't sure if they would look too large. First glance they seem perfect. Really look great on yours.

They are the Hella 500's. You can find them cheaper on amazon. I think I got mine for $85 and put Optilux yellow bulbs in them. They are definitely thinner than the factory lights. I like them. Here is another shot of them.
What do you recommend using to wash/wax the car? I also have a 2 inch scratch(nail deep) on the side. Any recommendations on getting it filled in? I was looking into the turtle wax scratch repair kit with clear coat pen.
Personally I would get the matching paint tube direct from MINI and repair the scratch with that. As far as wax on my Midnight Black Mayfair I have been using Meguiars Black Car Liquid Wax. Comes in a spray bottle. It makes the paint very shiny and slippery enough to have my hand slip off the hatch more than once when closing it!

Thanks for the advice!!! Ordered some of the paint and langka to deal with the excess blob.
When you get a Midnight Black F56 with black roof and mirrors, are the mirrors and roof "Midnight Black" or are they the non metallic black that comes on the other two tone cars?
I just spoke to my friend/salesman at Mini in Irvine CA. He said you can get it either way. You can special order the car totally Metallic. Body, top, mirrors too.

Mine came from the factory with the lights and badging. Car is stone stock except for stubby antenna in solid brass that I made on my lathe and my GPS aluminum billet mount also made by me. This week it's getting a JCW tuning kit.

Welcome. Very nice new F56. Looks like you've got a head start on blacking out the car. Any future mod plans?
Actually, I just got checkered mirror caps to match the white stripes. But apart from that, all black. Expecting mud guards for the dry sand and rocks here in So Cal, and a short stubby antenna as well. And then the last of it is the CravenSpeed iPhone Mount. And thaaaaaaat's about it.
I'm thinking if the white stripes get discolored or something I'd have them removed and go ALL BLACK... But again, I do like the white accents
