In Search of the "Perfect" MINI

This thread topic sprang to mind as I was reading posts in the Stock Problems forum about MINI owners being perceived as claiming to have never had problems or complaints.

Is there anyone out there who can rightfully claim to own the "perfect MINI?"

It would be interesting to see if this rare occurrence has ever really occurred or exists anywhere. As far as the "standard of perfection" I'm including the following:
1. You had zero issues that had to be rectified by the MA at delivery
2. You've never had a prematurely failed part or experienced unexpected substandard performance
3. You have zero squeaks and rattles
4. Your finish is completely unblemished and showroom quality
5. Your interior has no marks, wear, or other deficiencies
6. Your body panel seams are even and have a consistent spacing
7. Your windshield is chip free
8. Your MINI fulfills your visceral need for motoring pleasure (this is the easy one )

I'm not sure that ANY car can achieve this standard, let alone the MINI. Anyone think they're close?

[BTW, I have an '05 with over 10K miles so you already know I've popped a passenger side motor mount...]

I can say yes too all except 4, 5 and 6. However my Mini gets driven often and hard, 13,000 miles in the first 10 months, so there has never been any hope for those three.

My guess is that #7 applies too. Take a drive toward the direct sunlight. Enjoy the starfield simulation.

I had an item here and there that had to be dealt with on both of my MINIs ('03 and '07), so "perfection" is out. However, my May '07 Cooper still has no rattles or sqeaks, looks awesome, drives great, and exceeds 40 mpg! I really have no complaints, and my dealings w/ the dealership in sorting out the niggles were utterly painless.

All but #3, I need to get the water pump tensioner fixed. It's squeling like a stuck pig. (I apologize to all pigs)

Perfect on #1 through #8

I do have the March'08 Auto Transmission Park not locked to ign/brake but prefer it that way.

Was able to duplicate the "Sunroof won't open after parked in 95f+ for over four hours" three times this past summer.
If I think there is a proven resolution for that, I may have it done at end of next summer.
