Went there and thought it looked like an interesting site, however:

After playing the Michael Palin Video without problems,
went to play the one above (SNL's Thursday's comedy skit) and halfway through, my entire system completely froze.

Only option was a 'Hard Shutdown' followed by a recovery to two hours before.

Pilotart....sorry to hear about that. That's the first time I heard about the issue and I'll talk to the network tech's about it. It's actually a link to the NBC website so it's quite possible it's an issue with NBC and not our webhost.

Well I hope you'll still check it out! The site can be a bit multi-media intense. But, people are having fun over there

... Maybe I'm just being overly cautious.

Thanks for the added clarification on the data collection...much appreciated!

Hey I just tried to register again to see what you were talking about since I don't remember any privacy concerns or questions. I want to put your mind at ease, those questions like "What year is your MINI", "What model is your MINI", etc. are questions I created to populate your profile! The questions are totally optional and you can just leave them blank. The ONLY question that is of any private nature is "What is your birth date". And, you don't have to put your real birthdate in there if you don't want to. NO WORRIES Gil-Galad!

So please, anybody interested in the site DON"T WORRY!

For everyone's info the site is on the NING network which is founded by the creator of Netscape and hosts 500,000 social networks. So it is quite well known and reputable. I'm the only "admin/moderator" and I don't see ANYBODY's personal info!

Hope that helps

Sweet, Dubaian! I hope you put a pin on the Frappr map there. Would love to have someone from Dubai represent!

I an really enjoying the site that PlayPlay set up. It is amazing that we are getting so many Mini enthusiasts from around the world

Concerning the privacy issue what I have always done is used a dummy email that only posts to my Yahoo account and it doesn't hit my at home computer.

Just my 2 cents, B.

Hmm....

I have visited the site everyday for 2 weeks now and I haven't had problem of any kind with the site.

The site is great and fun to visit. Calm, cozy and w/o politic involved.

Highly recommend.

Video Clips ???

Went looking for SNL Video Clips and this was what I saw:

On MSNBC.com or TodayShow, etc., could access and play SNL (or any other video) without problem.

However, on the SNL Video Site, could not play a single video, they would load,
but just display an Oxygen Blue solid image on the video screen and no data loaded either.

So evidently my system (running Firefox 1.5) has a 'thing' with pure SNL video.

I have just tried on the SNL Video Site, I can play the video flawlessly. Hmm... I'm running on explorer.

I'm going to try one at my office (running Firefox) to see if there is any issue.

Well, even though I'm relieved that it's probably not my site, I'm sorry to hear that you can't watch SNL vids! Man, I watch those things all the time cuz they're just freakin hilarious. BTW, I also use Firefox and we are up to version 3.03.....that might help if you upgrade...

Any website that starts playing music when I go there is immediately closed. Any chance that can be turned off by default?

Just opened my IE-7 and the same SNL video site played fine.

Last time I checked, more than half of my 'extensions' (about 30 of them) were not compatable with Firefox-3 and only other complaint had been from AutoTrader, but it clicked through and worked fine.

Have enjoyed that 'default' music and I have a 'mute' button for when I don't
