Wrapped MINI's anyone?

I couldn't find a thread on wrapped MINI's (there may be one, I just couldn't find it.). I just got my MINI wrapped this weekend. My husband did it, we own our own sign business and of course use the MINI whenever possible.
What do you think??

I think it's beautiful! You did a great job. Wraps can often cheapen the look of a car when the graphics aren't done well.......but you guys obviously know what you're doing.

You have any bigger pics so we can check out the design a bit better?

Do you have more photos? From your signature picture it looks like there is a lot of detail that isn't showing up due to the lighting on your larger picture.

How difficult is it to wrap a MINI? Expensive?

+1 I've thought about having Viola wrapped a few times, thought it would be an excellent alternative to painting...

Looks sick. Would it be cheaper to wrap your car a different color instead of painting it?

Thanks! Yes, those pics are better!!

To answer your questions about difficulty and price..Yes there is a degree of difficulty and a lot of install time. I'm not sure on price. I'll get back to you on that. Usually cars cost about 3000-5000.

Very impressive! Great design!

Is the price still up there if the wrap is a solid color?

I doubt it's as much because there's not any patterns to line up. There's also little or no design time involved. It would probably be better to have it painted if you want just a solid color. I can't imagine what mine would've cost to have it painted!!

How hard is it to get it off again, especially after it's been on a while and in the sun?

What color was your car originally? Can you use a light colored wrap on a dark colored car and vice versa? Does the color affect what it looks like after it's wrapped?

My MINI is PS/B. It is not recomended to leave the printed vinyl on for more than 4 years or so. I would imagine that you can cover a dark car with a light color, because it is printed on white media. I don't think that there is any transparency involved. What I particulary like about my wrap is the media it is printed on. It is much smoother than wraps I've seen in the past. This particular brand, made in Germany, has a different texture verses the basketweave sortof texture you normally see. I think it makes the seams less noticiable. There are very few seams on the MINI though.

Very nice design and craftsmanship on the installation.... One day I'll wrap my mini in flat black.

How long does the vinyl last? I've read it lasts about 3 years but who knows?

I'll try to get more pics this weekend. I think 4 years is max on life for a wrap. We'll probably redo it in a year or so....just to keep it fresh.

I just met a guy who owns an Ace Hardware Store. The corporate office said if he would wrap his MINI for two years[to promote non toxic paint] they would pay 50% of the cost of his MINI. Not a bad deal.

Depending on the advertiser, I'd most likely be willing to go after a deal like that!!
