Just wanted another opinion. I'm asking $25k (and would probably take a little less if offered) for my 05 MCS with JCW engine/exhaust/intake pkg. Basically every option except for Nav.
Just clicked to 10k miles this week. I've received a lowball offer that kind of made me mad.... KBB even has it listed as $25,125 private party.
Sorry, maybe I'm just venting, but I think that is reasonable. Thoughts?

KBB prices are known to be absurdly high. We bought our '05 MCSc over a year ago for more than $6K under KBB.
Good luck with your sale. You may have to lower your price. But they say these cars are in far higher demand these days, so who knows.

To be honest, I wouldn't go for much less than 25k, but it all depends on how long you can wait. There are many people out there who prefer the 02-06 over the 07+ Minis (I just bought an 06 while I could have gotten an 07 for the same money. Serious where were you when I was looking for mine!). The low mileage is a plus, JCW (a $6k option with install!) is what makes it. If it is important to sell soon, than you may have to sacrifice price as most won't appreciate what it has. Otherwise I'd stay close to your price and give it a little time.

Even with 10K miles, your car depreciates in value every year because it gets older. But with low mileage, the depreciation won't be as significant. Like lovethecorners said, if you can wait it out, sell it for 25K (or 24K) for the right buyer who appreciates the R53 and the JCW. If you need to get rid of it quick, you be the judge.

itsminidrmer, you following me 'round NAM!
For reference, take a look at this 2005 MCS with 31k miles at Main Line:

They'll probably get less for it, but it is still a good comparison: significantly more mileage, significantly fewer features, not that much less money (although many people prefer going through a dealership).

Try matching the Nadaguides price. That is a little more reasonable. You're also going into fall/winter when smaller cars aren't in fashion for the cold weather coming.
I'd wait until spring, then highball it for a month and see what happens.

Often that low ball offer is just a starting point... they're testing the water... looking to see if you'll move off your asking price. I almost always give a low ball offer just to see how willing the seller is to negotiate. Don't be put off by a low offer. If your price is firm, just say so.
If I was in the market for a new MINI I'd be looking at yours. Nice car!
No I wouldn't pay your asking price, but I'm sure we could come to an agreement. There people out there that want a like new MINI & don't want an R56. That is your market, now you just have to find them. I think you are looking in the right place.
Good luck with your sale.

I think the Price is a tad High considering Ive seen some GP's go for around 27-28k. I think you would be able to move it at 22k. Remember its gunna be hard to move any car in this economy.
Every day it will be worth less too, sad but true. You'd really have to find the right buyer to get that much for it, just my opinion ........I'd just drive it enjoy it and get your value out of it. It's a car, not an investment - at least in our lifetimes.
