Lojack or not?
Gps Signal?
Lojack needs a GPS signal to tell where it is located. Some thieves use a low power device that interferes with the GPS signal so the location cannot be determined. Of course, many cars are stolen by people out for joyrides, etc, and they probably wouldn't have such a blocking device.

Actually, you would need to contact LoJack to have a system check done, a local PD would not be able to help you. PDs with LoJack tracker receivers only receive the transmitted signal from your unit once it's been activated. It gets activated when your car is entered into NCIC as being stolen. If it's not entered as a stolen vehicle, then your transmitter doesn't transmit anything, thus the PD cannot detect anything.

I used to have a Paging System that notified me immediately when the system had been triggered/breached. A better way to go IMHO.
