Nicely done!

The fart cans have one purpose, and it's also the fatal flaw. The sound is meant to garner attention. "LOOK AT ME!" it screams. Thing is that sound can cause any cop within a 5 mile radius to perk up and think $$$.

Speaking of super loud exhaust, my neighbor has a pretty nice Subbie STI (I think it's a 2007) and his exhaust note sounds like somethings totally wrong. Kind of funny because he has a very nice car, but f****d it up adding a muffler the size of a paint can! I feel embarrased for him.

Good job not taking the bait from an idiot. He got the perfect lesson. He would have just done a "ricer flyby" long after you passed him, he'd catch up and act like that was him winning.
My neighbor- blown '68 AMX- gets this crap all the time. He picks a diner about 30 miles away and says "How about the first guy there wins. You get pulled over, you lose. outta gas? you lose. For pink slips." They never go for it. Most of the racer types here have small racing gas tanks, skinnies up front, etc... but are too cheap to go to Englishtown drag strip. Anything that keeps these idiots off the road is fine with me, they ruin it for real car enthusiasts everywhere.

Around Houston many of them fit the same description.
1. Old car
2. Body work needed badly
3. Unpainted bumpers or some "Need for Speed" body panel
4. And the same first comment by all of them, "It's a project."

I'll admit the WRX and the JCW have great sounding exhaust, but that's not just the Muffler that makes the good sound.

I do like how you rev'd your engine to get him going. That's so funny.

I dont know if you're serious or not? Or maybe I misinterpreted your comment but if you don't know...Subie's run flat 4 engines, meaning two opposed cylinders on each side. These type of engines naturally cause that sound. Think of old VW beetle(bug) and Porsche. Same engine design except air cooled. So unless its something else....he didn't f***k anything up its supposed to sound that way...and I personally think it sounds awesome. I've gone for a drive with a few WRX's all with exhausts and listening to each of them accelerate in front of me is soo kewl sounding!!
Just my $.02
