Red exclamation mark when starting

What does a red exclamation mark (bang/bash symbol) where my speedometer indicate when I start the car. After a few seconds after the car has been running a yellow exclamation mark appears over in the middle console above the radio. I have more than enough gas, so I don't think it's that.

I checked the oil and that's ok. The tired look good too. I don't know what is wrong with it.

Have you checked your owner's manual? Should be something in there with the answer. Good luck!

I have an exclamation mark come up when my fuel is down to the last (red) bars.

I've heard you get a ! when your break in is complete (1200 miles). I never noticed it on my car though. How many miles are on your car?

What year model? I am assuming either an 07 or 08 with only 9100 miles. Here is a link to the 07 hardtop manual. Starting on page 116 are the descriptions for the warning indicators.

you may want to move this to you specific year mini section..instead of the general mini section.. lots of things are year specific.

Thank you mwedge. The manual helped me determine it might be the tire pressure. I stopped by a gas station this evening and filled all the tired up. The red ! went away.

def the tire pressure. mine did that too and although they looked fine, it was like 2 pounds off on 2 tires. these new cars are super sensitive... kind of annoying but thoughtful at the same time!
