Our new Mini was completed 9/21 and is waiting for the ride over to the US. Our guess is that it should be on the 9/30 or 10/1 ships. Our current car is up for sale and we want to make the deal to keep our car until the Mini arrives. My questions is if the Mini leaves on 9/30 or 10/1 what would be an average time to get to Charleston, then to VDC and then to dealer in North Carolina. My quess is 3 weeks without any issues. Does this sound about right? Thanks

 

Mine took 29 days from build date. Held up by the EPA for 6 Days, however you wont go thu that part but 4 of those day will be needed to get from NY to Charleston. Check the WW lines to see when you arrive in Charleston. It can take anywhere from 7 days to as little as 3 to get shipped to your dealer, the biggest part of the wait is how long it takes to get released from customs to the VDC. This is provided that it wasnt damaged in shipping. Check the thread on Tracking. and Communicate with the support group for your ship and build week. VDC dosent work Sundays and Sat depends on your area.

Mine took 33 days from order to delivery. Completed on 11 Aug 08 shipped on the 15th arrived in charleston on the 28th took delivery on the 30th.

So my average is 33 days

 

I guess I should think 4 weeks instead of 3. Thanks for the replies.

 

Production completed 8/8/08. Delivery in St. Louis 9/10/08, including a stay at VDC to get driving lamps installed. Roughly 4 weeks is a pretty good bet.

 

I ordered my Clubman on 7/28. The build was completed on 9/9, departed SouthHampton on 9/12, arrived in SC on Caribbean Highway on 9/26; I hope to have it later this week. If if I can pick it up by this Saturday 10/4, it will have taken just under 10 weeks in total. I hope I'm not being too optimistic about getting the car by the end of this week.
