What is missing?
After my car was repaired from being T-Boned from a accident on the drivers side, I had to get my driver's side door replaced. And I'm sure it was replaced with a used one, because I noticed it was red before. However, now I'm 100% sure that my driver's door is lighter than my passenger door. I notice from the way the doors close, one is heavier than the other, and from the sound it makes. Seems like the driver's side is a bit more hollow than the other. Could it be the sound deadening material that is missing or lacking? Or something else?
Maybe the hinge on the driver's door was properly lubed before the new door was put on.
You could pull the door covers to see if they left out any kind of insulation. But the MINI doors had none to begin with. So unless you added some and they didn't replace it, enjoy the lighter door. (faster)

I have an 04 as well and there is pretty much nothing in there. I would have asked for a new door though, or at least paint it in such a way that you can't see the other color. May sound silly, but did you check your stereo? Perhaps no speakers?
they primed it, and painted it, they did a good job, the only part where I can see the original color is the hinges, and just barely. Oh, my speakers are def. there. Had to double check my HK system.
